  • Vibrating Navigational Shoes help give directions

    March 24, 2014 1 min read

We have been enjoying some of the innovative footwear concepts hitting the news recently and this concept from Ducere Technologies is a fantastic idea.

MIT Graduate Anirudh Sharma originally came up with this idea in 2011 proposing a navigational shoe for the visually impared. The user sets their destination and vibrations in sole of the shoe lets the user know when to make turns and navigate to their destination.

The company has recently launched the Lechal shoes along with insoles that are designed to help people navigate the streets on their own. The aftermarket insoles are suitable for any shoe while the Lechal shoe comes with the system integrated. For more information please visit Lechal.
