  • Hugs & Co. on Art: Lichtenstein

    March 03, 2013 1 min read

Lichtenstein: A Retrospective is currently running at London's Tate Modern. This is a fantastic opportunity to see works from one of the last century's great artists. Organised in collaboration with The Art institute of Chicago there will be over 120 of the artists works on display the largest collection in one place in over 20 years.

Lichtenstein's immediately recognisable works are heavily influenced by popular advertising and a comic book style. Despite his paintings rather tongue in cheek humour and parodying style he was a leader in the American Pop Art movement and exhibited alongside Warhol.

The exhibition promises to be a great experience for anybody regardless of how well versed you are on 20th century art. His paintings are easily enjoyed and will no doubt keep you entertained.
