The Brothers Behind Hugs & Co.
Our Story
The founders and creative directors of Hugs & Co. are brothers and fashion designers Benjie Davis and Hugo Davis. The duo share a background in fine art, design, architectural design, FMCG packaging design, new product development, business and marketing which led to the inception of the premium British footwear brand Hugs & Co in 2012.
All initial design processes take place at the label's head office in Richmond, London. New concept shoes are then hand crafted by the production team in Hugs & Co.'s factory in Portugal. Once approved sourcing ensures the finest materials are procured and finally production can take place.
Stock is held in the UK at our independent warehouse where the dedicated team carefully pack each order.
Meet the Creative Directors
Benjie Davis
Benjie's background began in fine art winning a scholarship at an early age. He went on to study Architecture at University. He turned his design skills to NPD, packaging design and marketing consultancy for brands such as Neutradol. Product creation was the passion he wished to pursue though, leading to the partnership with his brother and founding the Hugs & Co. brand, which has been followed by the creation of several other fashion labels including Busby Boots.
Hugo Davis
Hugo studied business where he developed his interest in entrepreneurship. Like his brother he spent time working with some FMCG labels enhancing their new product development, packaging concepts and marketing strategies. It was his shared drive to create a new brand from the ground up that led him into the brotherly partnership with Benjie where they set about creating Hugs & Co. and their subsequent portfolio of labels such as Busby Boots.
